Day 1, Friday 3 August
BRISBANE/SYDNEY – DARWIN
This morning make your way to the airport for your flight to Darwin where upon arrival you will be transferred to your centrally located hotel. Later this afternoon, enjoy a harbour cruise with more delightful Northern Territory sights before returning to the hotel later in the evening.

Day 2, Saturday 4 August
DARWIN
After breakfast and a morning at leisure, you will depart from the hotel and transfer to the Darwin Turf Club for a great day at the races. The day features the bet365 Palmerston Sprint, and you can view the action from either the Members Grandstand and Lawn. This evening, you have the option of attending the Qantas Darwin Turf Club Gala Ball, featuring excellent food and world class entertainment.

Day 3, Sunday 5 August
DARWIN
Today is a free day for you to explore Darwin and its surrounding areas. You may choose to enjoy the fun and games at the Calcutta Luncheon held on the lawns in front of the Darwin Turf Club Grandstand. Otherwise you have the opportunity to join one of our optional tours including a Barramundi Fishing Tour, a Jumping Crocodile Tour or a Kakadu Full Day Tour.

Day 4, Monday 6 August
DARWIN
This morning you will be transferred to the Darwin Turf Club once again for a superb day of racing. Carlton Mid Darwin Cup Day is the richest day of thoroughbred racing in the north and is the pinnacle of a unique and exciting racing carnival often referred to as a ‘Mini Melbourne Cup’. Enjoy the racing luncheon and beverages from the comfort of the Legends of the Straight Marquee. At the conclusion of the card you will be transferred back to your accommodation.

Day 5, Tuesday 7 August
DARWIN – KAKADU
Depart Darwin early this morning and travel deep into Kakadu National Park. View Aboriginal rock art at Nourlangie Rock with our Guide. After lunch board the famous Yellow Water Billabong cruise to observe saltwater crocodiles. Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre and view the informative displays depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people.

Day 6, Wednesday 8 August
KAKADU – DARWIN
This morning stop at Ubirr to view Aboriginal rock art believed to be 20,000 years old. Join the Guluyambi Cruise along the East Alligator River in search of saltwater crocodiles. We have an Aboriginal guide with us and with the special permission of the local people we will be able to go ashore in Arnhem Land. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre. There is the opportunity for an optional scenic flight over Kakadu. You will be transferred back to your hotel after the conclusion of your tour.

Day 7, Thursday 9 August
DARWIN – BRISBANE / SYDNEY
This morning you will be transferred from your hotel to the Darwin Airport for your return flight home. Your arrival at your respective Airport concludes your tour with Ambassador Travel.
