Day 1, Monday 22 March

Make your way to your respective airport for an overnight flight to Dubai, arriving early next morning.

Day 2, Tuesday 23 March
DUBAI
On arrival in Dubai this morning, you will be transferred to your centrally located accommodation for immediate check-in. This afternoon, embark on an orientation tour of this fascinating city, visiting some of its colourful souks and magnificent mosques. Later, return to the hotel and join your fellow travelers for welcome drinks.

Day 3, Wednesday 24 March

A midmorning departure on a developments tour of Dubai and view some of Dubai’s most awe-inspiring architectural wonders in the prestigious Jumeirah Beach area. Your sights may include the Burj Al Arab Hotel and the ambitious Palm Islands project, as well as the Mall of the Emirates, one of the largest shopping malls in the world, featuring Ski Dubai, the famous indoor ski slope. The remainder of your day is free for some further sightseeing or shopping.

Day 4, Thursday25 March

This morning you will be transferred to the brand new Meydan Racecourse for your first glimpse of this state-of-art course that is the centerpiece of Meydan horseracing city, while attending Breakfast with the Stars hosted by Dubai World Cup. Featuring live commentary and guest interviews, guests can enjoy a lavish breakfast buffet during morning trackwork. The remainder of your day is at leisure to explore this fascinating city steeped in tradition and mystery.

Day 5, Friday 26 March
DUBAI
With the day free, you may wish to indulge in some of the superb shopping in Dubai or enjoy a day on the Green at one of the world class golf courses that Dubai is known for. This evening, you have the opportunity to join either an optional Desert Safari Dinner including an Arabian BBQ dinner in a Bedouin tent accompanied by entertainment set against the beautiful desert landscape, or attend a Sheik’s Dinner* on the eve of Cup Day.

Day 6, Saturday 27 March

You have the morning at leisure before being transferred to Meydan Racecourse for the first Dubai World Cup to be hosted at this world class facility unrivalled in size and beauty. To celebrate this special occasion, the world’s richest thoroughbred race will receive a boost in prize money to a coveted US$10 million. The race day is comprised of seven group races headlined by the opening event in the 2010 World Racing Championships – the Dubai World Cup.

Day 7, Sunday 28 March
DUBAI
After the excitement of Cup Day, you have the day free to relax and enjoy the wide assortment of entertainment options in Dubai. Sample the many regional cuisines served in restaurants throughout the city including Arabian, Morroccan, Lebanese specialties and more. Later today, you will see the city from the water aboard a boat and cruise the creek while enjoying a farewell dinner.

After check-out this morning, you will be transferred to the airport to board your homeward bound flight. Alternatively, continue your travel on an extension tour of your choice.

Make your way to your respective airports for your early flight bound for Egypt via Dubai. On arrival in Cairo this afternoon you will be met and transferred to your hotel for immediate check-in and your evening is at leisure.

Day 2, Tuesday 16 March
CAIRO
Depart mid-morning for a tour of Giza Plateau, where one of the seven wonders of the ancient world resides. Here you will find the great Pyramids as well as the magnificent Great Sphinx of Giza which stands over 70 metres in height. Relax in and around your hotel this afternoon before returning to the Pyramid of Giza for a spectacular Sound and Light Show, an enchanting experience that sees history come alive among these colossal structures.

Day 3, Wednesday 17 March
CAIRO – ASWAN – EDFU
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Aswan where on arrival you will be transferred to your Nile cruise ship for embarkation. After lunch onboard, join a tour of the Aswan High Dam and the legendary Philae Temple. Widely regarded as the most beautiful temple in Egypt, Philae is set on its own island and dedicated to the goddess Isis. Reboard the cruise ship and sail to Edfu.

Day 4, Thursday18 March
EDFU – ESNA – LUXOR
Today you will pay a visit to the Temple of Edfu, the second largest in Egypt and one of the best preserved. Dedicated to the falcon god Horus and built during the Ptolemaic period, the temple reflects the prosperity of the time. Return to your cruise ship and continue on to Luxor, passing through the Nile Lock in Esna. You may enjoy the many onboard activities and services as the ship arrives in Luxor and stay overnight.

Day 5, Friday 19 March
LUXOR
After breakfast, disembark at the West Bank of the Nile and explore the Valley of the Kings & Queens, where the ancient tombs of royalties and nobles reside. You will also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an incomparably impressive monument dedicated to the sun god Amon-Ra, and also the famous Colossi of Memnon – two massive stone statues that have stood in the Theban necropolis for the past 3400 years.

Day 6, Saturday 20 March
LUXOR – CAIRO
After breakfast this morning you will bid the Nile farewell and disembark your cruise ship and transfer to the airport for your mid-morning flight to Cairo. On arrival you will travel through the oldest part of Cairo, once known as the Roman stronghold of Babylon as well as the famous Khan Khalili Bazaar, en route to the hotel. The remainder of your day is at leisure to enjoy the surroundings of the hotel.

Day 7, Sunday 21 March
CAIRO
This morning you will be taken on a fascinating tour to the Egyptian Museums, home to the most expensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in the world. One of the exhibits is dedicated to Tutankhamen’s treasures which were enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before their discovery in the 1920s. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure to explore this ancient city or indulge in some shopping at the Khan Khalili Bazaar.

CAIRO – DUBAI
You have the day at leisure for some last minute shopping or sightseeing before transferring to the airport late afternoon for your flight bound for Dubai and join the balance of the group to commence your Dubai World Cup Racing Tour.
