Make your own way to your respective airports to board your flight bound for Los Angeles today. As you will cross the International Date Line, your arrival will be on the same day. Check in at your centrally located accommodation on arrival.

Day 2, Sunday 25 April
LOS ANGELES
Today you will attend a race day at Hollywood Park, where races are conducted on both weekdays and weekends during the Spring/Summer season. Hollywood Park was home to the inaugural Hollywood Gold Cup where the legendary Seabiscuit was victorious.

Day 3, Monday 26 April
LOS ANGELES
Enjoy a free day in LA and you may wish to visit the many star-studded attractions the city has to offer. Some important stops include the famous Chinese Theatre, Hollywood Boulevard, Sunset Strip and the iconic Hollywood Sign.

Day 4, Tuesday 27 April
LOS ANGELES – LEXINGTON
You will be transferred to the airport today to board your flight for Lexington where on arrival you will check into your centrally located accommodation. This evening, attend a welcome reception with special guest speaker from the racing industry.

Day 5, Wednesday 28 April
LEXINGTON
This morning, you will be transferred to the Keeneland Racetrack for breakfast, as well as a tour of the Keeneland facility. This is followed by admission to the Kentucky Horse Park, one of the most beautiful equine competition parks in the U.S. featuring a myriad of attractions including the Parade of Champions. This afternoon, join a tour of Winstar Farm, 1400 acres of rich soil and home to champion stallions for generations, and pay a visit to Three Chimneys Farm, another renowned horse farm in the area.

Day 6, Thursday 29 April
LEXINGTON
Today you will visit Old Friends Farm for a tour of this very special retirement facility for past champion stallions. This is followed by a tour of the Kentucky Thoroughbred Center in the heart of the Bluegrass region and get a glimpse of ‘a day in the life of a thoroughbred in training’. Enjoy lunch at the famous Sawyer’s Bar & Grill before visiting the Woodford Reserve Bourbon Distillery for a tour of the facilities of the “official bourbon” of the Kentucky Derby.

Day 7, Friday 30 April
LEXINGTON
After a buffet breakfast this morning, you will be transferred to Churchill Downs to attend the Kentucky Oaks. Enjoy the day from your first floor grandstand seat as the Grade 1 stakes race for three year old fillies unfolds over 1⅛ miles. On conclusion of this exciting race day you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 8, Saturday 1 May
LEXINGTON
Enjoy another breakfast buffet at the hotel before returning to Churchill Downs for the highlight of your tour – the ‘Run of the Roses’, the Kentucky Derby. One of the oldest races in America, the event enters its 136th year in 2010 and remains one of the most exciting sports events in the country. You will be transferred back to your hotel on conclusion of the race day.

Day 9, Sunday 2 May
LEXINGTON – LOS ANGELES – AUSTRALIA
After check-out this morning, you will be transferred to the airport to being your homeward bound journey via Los Angeles. Alternatively, you are free to extend your travels in North America and continue on to New York, Los Angeles and many other top attractions on the continent, or continue on to the rest of the world.
