Make your way to your respective airport for your flight bound for Singapore.

Day 2, Thursday 13 May
SINGAPORE
This morning, enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Singapore, including the Changi Prison War Museum. Learn about the fascinating tales surrounding the prison which housed over 50,000 POWs during World War II. You may also visit the Japanese Garden and the picturesque National Orchid Garden. The remainder of your day is at leisure.

Day 3, Friday 14 May
SINGAPORE
You have the day free to explore the sights of Singapore at your own pace. Visit the Chinese Garden, modeled along the northern Chinese imperial style of architecture and landscaping, with traditional buildings, pagodas and gardens. Or you may indulge yourself with a succulent meal of chili crab at a seafood restaurant near the East Coast Park.

Day 4, Saturday 15 May
SINGAPORE
Enjoy another day at leisure in Singapore. Perhaps travel to the Singapore Zoo and see the unusual menagerie of animals that make their home here. You may also spend the day bargain hunting at the various outlets selling everything under the sun from high-tech wares to designer clothing by visiting local markets and glitzy portals on Orchard Road.

Day 5, Sunday 16 May
SINGAPORE
Transfer to the Singapore Racecourse in Kranji today for the running of the Singapore Airlines International Cup. This S$3 million event attracts the world’s top racing nations and has gained increasing interest Worldwide with many famous jockeys arriving in Singapore to complete in this prestigious race.

SINGAPORE – AUSTRALIA
Enjoy late check-out today and you may do some last minute shopping or sightseeing before transferring to the airport this afternoon for your flight back to Australia. Alternatively, you may join an extension to visit the exotic Vietnam.

Transfer to the airport this morning for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 2, Tuesday 18 May
HO CHI MINH CITY – CU CHI
Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon) is Vietnam’s commercial centre and this morning enjoy a walking tour of Saigon’s famous and historic city landmarks including Dong Khoi Street and the former Presidential Palace. Later travel to Chinatown and the remarkable Cu Chi tunnels, a 200km long network of tunnels used during the war.

Day 3, Wednesday 19 May
HO CHI MINH CITY – MEKONG DELTA
This morning travel south to My Tho, gateway to the Delta and Vietnam’s agricultural heart. There, board a boat to one of the islands on the Mekong Delta. Visit a fruit orchard on the island before boarding a smaller sampan that winds along narrow canals. Enjoy local hospitality over lunch with some tea or rice wine.

Day 4, Thursday 20 May
HO CHI MINH CITY – DANANG – HOI AN
Transfer to the airport today to board your flight for Danang where on arrival you will be transferred to the nearby riverside town of Hoi An with sightseeing opportunities enroute that may include the famous China Beach and the Marble Mountains.

Day 5, Friday 21 May
HOI AN – HANOI
Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Hoi An. The old town was declared a World Heritage site and remains a well-preserved example of a traditional port city. Transfer to the airport later today for your flight to Hanoi, Vietnam’s gracious capital. Your evening is at leisure in this former capital of the French Indochina.

Day 6, Saturday 22 May
HANOI
Join a half day sightseeing tour of Hanoi today and visit the Ho Chi Minh Quarter. Begin at the Old Citadel and walk the tree-lined boulevards to Ba Dinh Square, site of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Visit the humble house on stilts from which ‘Uncle Ho’ ruled Vietnam until his death in 1969. The remainder of your day is at leisure.

Day 7, Sunday 23 May
HANOI – HALONG BAY – HANOI
Today journey east across Hai Hung Province and around Halong Bay. Transfer to the port for a magical boat cruise around the Bay. Considered Vietnam’s greatest natural wonder, Halong Bay boasts a dense cluster of about 2000 limestone islands. Sail past floating villages and fishermen casting their nets and pearl fisheries. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch onboard the boat before returning to Hanoi later this afternoon.

Your morning is at leisure to do some last minute sightseeing or souvenir shopping, before transferring to the airport early this afternoon for your return flight to Australia via Singapore.
